Helping professionals care for WA's wildlife

Our online training courses have been custom designed by experienced veterinarians with a deep understanding of Western Australia’s unique wildlife species. Our comprehensive courses cover the basic principles of treating wildlife patients that are often encountered in domestic animal clinics throughout Western Australia.

In addition to providing essential knowledge on wildlife treatment, the courses are also designed to assist veterinarians and veterinary nurses prepare for emergency events such as bushfires and oil spills. It equips them with the skills and knowledge necessary to assess patient viability and make difficult euthanasia decisions with confidence and compassion.

Our course is open to veterinarians, veterinary nurses, and trainees in both of these professions. This project is proudly supported by WWF’s Regenerate Australia program

Our veterinary student work experience program is an exciting opportunity for aspiring veterinarians to gain hands-on experience and work alongside the knowledgeable veterinary staff at the WA Wildlife Hospital.

It’s an immersive experience that provides students with a unique insight into the daily workings of a wildlife veterinary hospital. By participating in surgeries, monitoring patients, and assisting with treatments, students get a real understanding of what it’s like to care for wildlife in a clinical setting.

The program is designed to help students develop their skills, build their confidence, and make a positive impact in wildlife conservation.
